Learn More About the Screaming Puppets

Our History

Screaming Puppets is a live improvisational comedy troupe. The troupe performs scenes and games and skits, all based on audience suggestions. The shows are similar to ABC's Whose Line Is It Anyway? and fun for all ages.

Improvisational comedy is a theatrical art form where the entire show is created and performed spontaneously. The show is not scripted and the players' lines are not memorized; the Puppets use quick-thinking, pantomime, and improv skills to bring laughter to their audiences.

Screaming Puppets performs regular shows at theaters and other venues in the Washington-Baltimore area. The Screaming Puppets can also be booked for private shows. They have been seen at corporate events, youth group events, neighborhood festivals, college events, and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. Since its inception in 1999, the troupe has performed at diverse venues, such as the Helen Hayes Gallery of the National Theater, Metro Café in Washington, DC, Centerstage and the One World Cafe in Baltimore, MD, the Maryland Ensemble Theater in Frederick, MD, the Burtonsville Players in Burtonsville, MD, and the Carroll Baldwin Hall in Savage, MD.

The Puppets are eleven (11) players from around the D.C. Metropolitan Area. They all have day jobs and do improvisational comedy because they love it. They cordially invite you to come to a show and laugh your head off. They also offer a money-back guarantee: If you don't laugh, you don't pay.
